Daikin Altherma residential heating solution awarded the European Eco-label.
The European Eco-label also known as “the Flower” due to its flower logo denotes products and services with high environmental performance.
Products bearing the label are certified to meet EU-wide environmental criteria, and compliance is verified by an independent test body.
The Eco-label scheme is voluntary and represents products in the top of their class concerning environmental performance. It is available for 26 product groups, including heat pumps.
Daikin Altherma using renewable aerothermal energy
Daikin Altherma represents the culmination of Daikin’s decades-long experience with heat pump technology. It efficiently extracts the low-level heat in the ambient air and raises it to temperatures capable of comfortably heating a house and providing domestic hot water in outdoor temperatures down to -20º C. In doing so, Daikin Altherma makes use of aerothermal energy, a renewable energy source. The heat pump technology employed is highly efficient (3 to 5 kWh of heat for every 1 kWh of electricity consumed).
In being awarded the EU Eco-label, Daikin Altherma was assessed in a range of categories: heating and cooling efficiency, refrigerant global warming potential (GWP), noise, absence of RoHS substances, training, documentation, availability of spare parts and detailed information at point of sale. The bottom line: Daikin Altherma has higher energy efficiency and less global warming impact than other heat pump products in its class.
Daikin Europe N.V. obtained an Eco-Label for the following Daikin Altherma products valid for application with outlet temperature 35°C.
Eco-label information fiches will be provided to consumers & installers with information and recommendations about the most suitable heat pump system for your home.
The information fiches for customers and installers are provided by the “Daikin Altherma Simulator” at point of sale.
The 'Daikin Altherma Simulator’ selection software shall be used to select the Daikin Altherma equipment and details the optimal field settings for the installer.
