Waste heat recovery

A well designed waste heat recovery system based on heat pump technology can minimise the amount of heat that is wasted from a building’s envelope and reduce the many hundreds of tons of CO2 released every day by waste heat rejected into the air.
Waste heat is generated in many areas of a building. Office IT equipment, refrigeration units and heat pumps in cooling mode all generate waste heat that can be reused elsewhere to provide hot water in wash rooms, divert warm air to door air curtains, or heat other areas that need an injection of heat to maintain a steady temperature.
Waste heat recovery systems essentially create a renewable cycle of heating and cooling, so energy consumption can be greatly reduced. Heating, ventilation and hot water can therefore be delivered at a much lower cost, while drastically reducing carbon emissions.
The possibilities are enormous.
