Function description
Altherma is Daikin’s spearhead domestic heating product. It is a total heating and cooling system based upon heat pump technology and represents a flexible and cost effective alternative to a fossil fuel boiler, with a cooling option. Daikin has ambitious growth plans for heating and the role holder will be part of that expansion. The sales territory covered by this role will be the South West of England. Key Responsibilities include: To contribute to growth targets for New Business in both turnover and customer acquisition. To liaise with the Technical Support Co-ordinator to organise training and other customer requirements for the Altherma product. To ensure all customers are fully aware of all products and services available from Daikin Air Conditioning UK Ltd. To support and liaise with air conditioning sales representatives in order to promote Altherma within their established customer base. To ensure all customers are visited on a regular basis. To gain and maintain knowledge of the commercial environment and the standards and regulations that may be relevant to Altherma. To gain and maintain knowledge of competitors products, personnel and structure. To regularly visit your customer base on an agreed frequency and attend any customer events that are organised. Successful candidate will work from home. Weybridge will be the reporting office.
Profile
Excellent communication skills [face to face and over the telephone]. Team player is essential. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of team. Proven sales skills. Ability to prioritise own workload. Flexible and confident individual who will be able to work in a rapidly changing environment (growth market). Computer literate – Microsoft products. There is a fundamental need for the job holder to travel within the United Kingdom for the fulfilment of this role therefore a valid UK driving licence is an essential requirement.

Location: Weybridge Status: Full time Contract: Permanent Education level: A good grading at GCSE level in core subjects: Maths and English. Department: Sales Experience: Previous experience of working within a technical sales role would be advantageous as the role will require the successful candidate to develop a sound technical understanding of the Daikin products. A familiarity of the heating industry would also be advantageous.
