Function description

This role has been created to support the Operational Sales Director in problem resolution, distribution of information to the sales teams, collation of monthly reports and preparation of information for the National Sales Meetings. The successful candidate will also support Sales teams in customer retention, nurturing and increasing in store share with existing customers within a defined regional territory and will ensure activity and budget objectives are achieved in conjunction with area sales team goals. Key Responsibilities Include: Directly responsible for ensuring growth targets are achieved within the designated sales team territory in turnover, growth and customer retention. To achieve personal territory sales budgets and retention targets associated with designated Sales team and to support Sales Engineers to achieve their targets, with a proactive approach to coaching and support on customer visits. To ensure Sales Team and customers are fully aware of all products and services available from Daikin Air Conditioning UK Ltd, and these messages are consistently and regularly communicated to customers. To ensure all customers are visited on a regular basis, and that disputes and issues raised are dealt with in a timely and professionally & manner, in line with customer expectations. To lead by example in promoting the company philosophy, standing by core values and taking responsibility to ensure that all subordinates are operating and adhering to company policy, process and procedures. To manage, promote and facilitate individual sales engineer personal development and coaching on an ongoing basis.

Profile

Ability to gain and maintain knowledge of Daikin products and their application. To gain and maintain knowledge of the commercial environment and the standards and regulations relevant to the business. To gain and maintain knowledge of competitors products, personnel and structure. To regularly visit your customer base on an agreed frequency and attend organised events. To provide reports as requested including daily whereabouts, product forecasting, quotation follow, etc and monthly reporting in connection with the designated area of responsibility To liaise with other members of the Sales team and other company departments to ensure that the customer requirements are met in terms of quality, accuracy and timescale in line with customer expectation. To work with all Daikin departments, including Customer Services and Credit Control in order to regularly monitor overdue and disputed invoices and to seek resolution in the best interests of the company To support the Operational Sales Director in achieving Sales team targets.
