Function description

The position will be diverse as responsibilities will range from routine to more demanding technical queries. The role holder will act as the first point of contact for customers and Sales Representatives so would preferably have proven technical knowledge of Airconditioning systems, proven customer service ability and be able to demonstrate an efficient and accurate service to all callers. Job Description: To provide technical assistance and advice to the client and technical support to the sales team. To ensure customers and sales representatives receive a high quality response to sales enquiries; delivering detailed and accurate quotations, including equipment selection and availability. To prepare quotations and raise orders for the equipment in line with customer requirements of the customer; ensuring customer order details comply with the relevant quotation and are in line with cost policy and agreed terms and conditions. To ensure that all sections of the quality assurance system relating to the internal sales activity are adhered to, with particular regard to those elements referring to contract review. To liaise with customers, colleagues and other departments, via telephone and in written format, on issues relating to your area of responsibility. To provide management reports as requested in connection with the designated area of responsibility. To regularly review the systems within your area of responsibility to ensure they provide optimum use of resources.

General Details

Location: Birmingham Status: Full time Contract: permanent Education level: Good general level of education required. GCSEs or O’Levels grades (A-C), particularly in English is essential. Preferred HNC, HND or Degree Level in an engineering qualification Department: Internal Sales Experience: Experience of working in a similar role if the engineering qualification is not to HNC level or above. Good clerical, numeracy and IT skills must be demonstrated [SAP, Microsoft applications and experience of Lotus Notes would be advantageous, although training would be provided]
