The flexibility of pipe sizes for the new modules also provides potential to actually increase
system capacity using existing pipework.

In many existing sites, cooling loads have increased since the original installation. For example the r-22 pipe sizes originally used for the installation of a 10HP r22 refrigerant system, will now support a 16HP r410a system.

When internal units need to be replaced, VRV®III-Q units are supplied in modular form - including nine different heat pump and heat recovery models - and can be combined to create systems of up to 30HP. These combinations allow replacement of any of the previous r22 Daikin condensing unit systems sold in the UK.
