In the past, oil and contaminants in existing refrigerant piping could cause equipment malfunction, so the copper piping had to be replaced whenever a system with a different refrigerant was installed.

However, the VRV®III-Q condensing unit is able to automatically clean the existing pipework and charge the system with the correct volume of new r410a refrigerant. VRV®III-Q ensures that any contamination in the r22 piping is captured and retained.

This process needs to be carried only once and generally takes about one hour. Daikin is the first to offer this automatic refrigerant piping cleaning and charging function for vrv and vrf systems.
