Stafford Hotel St James Place, London
VRV Air Conditioning for Prestige London “Hideaway” Hotel
The 5 star Stafford Hotel, St. James’s Place, has long been regarded by hotel connoisseurs as one of the capital’s most sought after “hideaways.” Boasting over 80 air conditioned luxury rooms and suites, an award winning American bar and an internationally famous wine cellar, the Stafford has recently been extended by the addition of a further 25 luxury suites, and a penthouse and fitness studio.
Air conditioned throughout by top of the range VRV heat recovery systems, the new accommodation is located in a refurbished 8 storey building known as the Stafford Mews, which overlooks the world famous Carriage House rooms opposite the main hotel complex. The light and spacious master and junior suites and roof top penthouse, finished in the finest fabrics and furnishings and connected via air conditioned corridors, make a worthy addition to the Stafford’s already outstanding guest facilities.
Designed and specified by AWA Consulting Engineers, Malden, Essex and installed by Daikin D1 Partner, Stewart Anthony Ltd, Dartford, Kent, the air conditioning comprises 8 VRV outdoor condensing units linked to 64 FXDQ and FXNQ indoor fan coil units. All VRV outdoor units are located in the rooftop plant area.
FXNQ floor mounted units are housed in specially designed casings, styled to blend with the décor in the suite and penthouse lounge areas, the FXDQ units being located in bulkheads above the room entry doors. Internal design temperatures are set at 21°C +/- 1 deg C.
The VRV systems are managed by a Daikin centralised touch controller, located in a basement office and web linked to the hotel’s main control system. _tcm46-84804.jpg)
