We’re bundling this all together into one amazing heat pump training package, which includes the prerequisite Water Regulations certificate, if needed. This means installers can now receive over £500 of training, completely free of charge.

Low-carbon heat pumps and heat networks are critical technologies for decarbonising homes across the UK. We need to make the switch over, and we need to do it quickly. In order to meet the UK’s legally binding climate targets, thousands more heating engineers will need to learn to install and maintain these technologies. The time for change is now!
Government grant for heat pump training
In response to the urgent need for installers, the government has launched a Heat Training Grant. This scheme provides £500 worth of grant payments to support trainees taking short heat pump training courses. It’s through this grant that Daikin is able to offer these free accredited courses. Plus, we’re bundling in the pre-requisite Water Regulations certificate, completely free of charge too.

Which courses are included?
LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems (non-refrigerant circuits)
This regulated qualification has been brought up to date in consultation with the Heat Pump Association, industry and MCS and is designed for learners from a heating background (wet central heating systems) to demonstrate their knowledge in the Installation and Maintenance of Air Source Heat Pumps Systems (non-refrigerant circuits).
It is specifically aimed at existing fossil fuel plumbing and heating engineers and provides the necessary training to upskill and install Air Source Heat Pump systems. Upon successful completion, the qualification proves competence, which can be counted towards MCS accreditation for Air Source Heat Pump installations.
Duration: 3 days
Spaces: 8 per course
Standard cost: £447 (including VAT) per person - NOW FREE!
Pre-requisites:
- N/SVQ Level 2/3 in a relevant trade and WRAS Water Regulations/Water Byelaws or equivalent (see below) AND
- Heating installers with a minimum of three years of experience installing wet central heating systems, evidenced either by manufacturer courses certification or Gas Safe Register, OFTEC, MCS or HETAS registration
Outcome:
- Official certificate on successful completion
- Counts towards MCS accreditation for Air Source Heat Pump installations
WRAS Water Regulations/Water Byelaws or equivalent (pre-requisite)
This course is a pre-requisite of the above LCL Award and is included in the training provision at no additional cost for attendees who require it.
The LCL Awards Water Regulations Certificate covers the Water Regulations (1999) and is a necessary requirement for qualified plumbers (minimum NVQ Level 2) looking to join their local water authorities Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme.
