About the Osaka World Expo 2025
The World Expo is one of the oldest and largest events on the planet. Every five years, a city takes its turn to host the Expo, providing an arena for the host and the participating nations to showcase the best they have to offer.
The next World Expo will take place in Osaka, Japan from April-October 2025. The theme is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” and aims to inspire people to think about how we can create a better future for ourselves and future generations.
It will also support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals that are a set of global goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030.
Daikin at the Osaka Expo 2025
Next year’s World Expo 2025 Osaka will feature air and water spectacle "Under the Midnight Rainbow" by Daikin and Suntory, two companies founded in Osaka, Japan.
The show takes place in the largest show area in Expo history at 8,800 square metres and encourages the audience to think of what people in the present day could do to create a better future together.
“Under the Midnight Rainbow” will be a spectacular show that utilises water, air, light, fire, video and music in depicting the story of life on a grandiose scale.
Daikin will also set up a brand-new ‘Ice Cool Spot’, a rest area equipped with an air conditioning system using natural energy, as a relief measure against the summer heat.
How to enter
There are six places available on this once-in-a-lifetime Osaka trip (maximum one person per company). Prizes will be awarded to the top six eligible customers who get the most points for purchasing Split Multi*, Multi+* and Daikin Altherma condensers (two points for Multi and one point for Daikin Altherma Outdoor Condenser) from 01/06/24 to 31/03/25, including a minimum of one Altherma unit.
* Purchases of Multi and Multi+ condensers will also count towards the Dublin Split and Sky promotion.
Terms and Conditions
- Prizes will be awarded to the top six eligible customers who get the most points for purchasing Split Multi and Mulit+ condensers (two points for Multi & one point for Altherma Outdoor Condenser) from 01/06/24 to and 31/03/25, including a minimum of one Altherma unit. Daikin UK reserves the right to reduce points in respect of any units returned in this period and the first three months of the 25/25 Financial Year (April-June 2025). Units purchased through Corporate Clients will be included. Purchases of Multi condensers will also count towards the Dublin promotion. Your previous purchases and entry target will be communicated to you by your Daikin UK sales representative.
- The competition is open to D1, D1+, Ci and non D1 installers. Sustainable Home Centres, Sustainable Home Installers and MDC customers are excluded.
- Prizes are limited to one person per company, to be nominated by the company. Prize winners will be announced by Daikin and will be allocated a place on one of the following trips to the Osaka Expo: 8-12th September 2025, 15-19th September 2025 or 22-26th September 2025. Dates cannot be guaranteed and will be allocated by Daikin Industries. Daikin will cover the cost of flights, transportation, accommodation and scheduled meals but prize-winners will be responsible for any and all other costs that they incur. Prize winners will be responsible for ensuring that they meet and comply with the entry requirements to Japan.
- For tax purposes, the prize will be treated as a benefit in kind. The value is deemed to be in a range between 3,000-5,000 EUR (TBC by Jan 25). The prize winners will receive a tax form stating this amount and it will be their responsibility to declare this to HMRC.
- The itinerary is approximate and subject to change depending on availability and updates from our local partners. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. If an individual is unable to travel for whatever reason, Daikin will use reasonable endeavours to reallocate the trip to a substitute from the winning company.
- Daikin UK reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so, without liability.
- You agree to hold Daikin harmless and indemnify Daikin against all costs, losses, damages and liabilities brought against Daikin for any reason by or on behalf of the individual nominated by you, save to the extent caused by Daikin’s negligence.
- Daikin UK is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and will only use your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy. You agree that Daikin may publicise the results of this promotion.
- These terms are governed by English law and any disputes will be resolved by the courts of England and Wales.
