Product installation training

Complete a Daikin Product Installation course at one of our regional training centres or through your local Sustainable Home Centre.

You will:

• Learn correct installation, commissioning, service and fault diagnostics
• Understand system design principles and best practice setup
• Gain confidence registering systems through Stand By Me

Successful completion supports your progression within the Sustainable Home Network and prepares you for funded installations.

Heat Pump Bootcamp

If you’re new to heat pumps, the Daikin Heat Pump Bootcamp provides a clear starting point.

Over five days of government-funded training, you will:

• Build a solid understanding of heat pump principles and system design
• Develop practical installation and commissioning knowledge
• Prepare for entry into the low-carbon heating market

From onboarding to your first installation, our team supports you at each stage.

MCS certification and government funding

MCS certification demonstrates your commitment to quality workmanship and customer care. It gives homeowners confidence that installations meet recognised industry standards.

MCS certification is also required if your customers want to access government support schemes such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. Only MCS-certified installers can apply for BUS vouchers, currently worth up to £7,500 for air-to-water systems and £2,500 for air-to-air systems.

Support towards accreditation

We support installers working towards certification:

• £100 discount on Easy MCS accreditation
• Guidance on the certification process
• Training aligned to MCS installation requirements

This helps you move from training into funded installations more quickly.

Not MCS certified yet?

If you are not yet MCS certified, umbrella schemes provide a practical route into the heat pump market while you work towards full accreditation.

Umbrella schemes allow you to install heat pumps under the certification of an MCS-accredited provider. They support key parts of the process so systems remain compliant and eligible for government funding.

Through an umbrella arrangement you can:

• Install heat pumps without holding your own MCS certification
• Offer customers access to Boiler Upgrade Scheme funding
• Receive support with design validation, commissioning and certification

Several organisations offer umbrella schemes, including HPIN Direct and a number of Sustainable Home Centres and merchants.

Business Rewards Fund
