It's almost time for your home visit. To help you prepare, we asked your customer what is important to them. We've included what they said below together with some useful information that can help in your discussions.
Your lead is looking for a low carbon solution to heat their home.
More than 90% of the energy consumption in our homes is due to heating and hot water. The good news is your customer can significantly reduce the carbon impact of their home by switching from fossil fuels to renewable sources of energy such as a heat pump.
A heat pump extracts renewable energy from the air or ground and transfers it into the home. Heat pump solutions can provide heating, cooling, and hot water while reducing the need for fossil fuels. Because they run mostly on renewable energy (between 70% and 80%) and the remainder on electricity, heat pumps are much more efficient than a fossil fuel boiler.
Every home is unique, which is why Daikin offers a variety of different heat pumps to provide the best and most cost-effective solution to meet their needs.

Your lead wants to be prepared for future legislation.
Heating and cooling is responsible for around half of energy consumption in Europe and more than a quarter of its CO2 emissions. Therefore it will be impossible to achieve a net zero climate impact without decarbonising heating.
As governments drive ahead with the green agenda, they will continue to implement strategies to ensure we move away from fossil fuel-based sources of heating. This is likely to include the eventual banning of fossil fuel boilers, for example.
Switching to a renewable source of energy for heating and hot water, such as a heat pump, is therefore a sure-fire way for a homeowner to future-proof their home and protect themselves against legislation in this area.
Heat pumps provide a comfortable level of more energy-efficient heating.

Your lead wants to lower their energy bill in the short term.
If your customer wants to keep their existing boiler for the time being, they can still reduce their energy bill in the short term.
By adding an air-to-air heat pump as add-on heating system or an add-on air-to-water heat pump, your customer can reduce their fossil fuel consumption and keep their existing heating system for hot water needs. Every kilowatt of electricity used in a heat pump generates between three and four kilowatts of renewable heat from the air - resulting in an impressive efficiency improvement of more than 400%.
An air-to-air heat pump uses renewable energy to heat your home by extracting energy from the air outside and only using 20% electricity to do so - an exceptionally energy-efficient way to achieve the perfect temperature. No need to change your boiler or existing heating system, you can simply add it to your home.
By heating a main room with a flexible, easily-installed Daikin unit, energy consumption can be drastically reduced. To optimise its use and maximise your savings, we recommend installing the indoor unit in the most frequented room such as the living room, which can contain up to 70% of your energy consumption.
Our Daikin Altherma add-on air-to-water heat pump adds renewable energy in your home. It works in bivalent mode with the existing gas boiler you have in your home, regardless of the brand. When working in heat pump mode, the system is powered by renewable energy extracted from the air and can achieve up to A++ energy efficiency.
Because every home is unique, Daikin has a range of heat pumps in different sizes to ensure the most cost-effective and efficient solution can be installed.

Your lead is looking for more comfort at home.
One of the many advantages of heat pumps as an energy efficient solution is the fact you can design a system that provides a comfortable level of heating, cooling and hot water all year round.
Because of the different technologies involved, heat pumps offer the homeowner much more control over their indoor climate.
The heat pump itself is usually made up of an outdoor unit and an indoor unit. The outdoor unit extracts energy from either the air or ground and sends it to the indoor unit. This in turn handles the temperature change to provide comfortable heating, cooling, or hot water, on demand, all year round.
It means your customer will no longer have to worry about being too hot, or too cold, at peak times throughout the seasons, and can instead enjoy perfect temperatures whatever the weather.
The Daikin Perfera and Daikin Altherma ranges in particular are an excellent choice for all-year-round premium performance.
