The awards took place at London’s Hilton Hotel in Park Lane on 27 September 2017 and recognises continued innovation and environmental success within the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. The Sky Air A-series with R32 Bluevolution technology was awarded the prestigious title of Air Conditioning Innovation: VRFs, Heat Pumps, Fan Coils and Peripherals. Judges’ comments included: “rather than just settling for the benefits gained from refrigerant efficiency, the manufacturer has wrought increases across the board.”

Mark Dyer, Commercial Director at Daikin UK said, “The impressive feedback from the judges is a testament to the innovative technology utilised within the Sky Air A-series. Acknowledging that we have gone the extra mile to increase energy efficiency, performance and usability, winning this award is a true demonstration of Daikin’s ground-breaking Bluevolution technology.”

Launched at the annual Daikin UK D1 Partner Event in May, the Sky Air A-series comprises three models; Alpha, Advance and Active, which offer improved comfort control - including significant noise reduction - for end-users.

Allowing a quick and easy installation on-site thanks to lighter and more compact units, the Sky Air A-series is also designed to be the air conditioning sector’s most installer-friendly system.

Reducing running costs and environmental impact - the Sky Air A-series offers a future-proof solution to the F-Gas phase down and a 10% energy efficiency increase, thanks to the use of Bluevolution technology using R32 refrigerant.

Martin Passingham, Product Manager for DX at Daikin UK, added: “Our new Sky Air A-series leads the way, offering an ideal solution for reducing both energy consumption and running costs while complying with the continuing F-Gas phase down.”
