Grand Designs Live announces Daikin as its London and Birmingham 2026 Headline Sponsor
03.12.25
LONDON, 2025 - Grand Designs Live is pleased to announce that Daikin UK will return as its Headline Sponsor for the 2026 London and Birmingham shows, following a highly successful partnership earlier this year.
The renewed sponsorship comes at a pivotal moment, as the government’s expanded Boiler Upgrade Scheme, confirmed on 18 November 2025, will be fully in place just ahead of the London show in May, giving homeowners new opportunities to make their homes more efficient, comfortable and future ready.
With rising energy costs, uncertain supply and increasingly extreme temperatures, homeowners are looking for ways to improve everyday comfort while preparing their properties for the years ahead. Daikin will use its presence at Grand Designs Live to show visitors how modern heating and cooling systems can quietly form the invisible heart of a home, enhancing the spaces people design and supporting the lifestyles they want to create.
Tens of thousands of visitors are expected at London Excel from 1 to 4 May and Birmingham’s NEC from 2 to 4 October. Across both shows, Daikin experts will be on hand to explore ideas, answer questions and explain how heat pumps can provide efficient heating in winter and cooling in summer, helping create homes that perform beautifully throughout the year.
Beyond the show, Daikin’s nationwide Sustainable Home Centres offer personalised support. These centres connect homeowners with trusted installers.
The timing of this announcement aligns with major updates to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. The scheme now includes grants of up to £2,500 for air to air heat pumps, alongside grants of up to £7,500 for air to water systems. With the full scheme now extended to 2030, homeowners have more flexibility, more time and more support to choose efficient, low carbon comfort that aligns with future regulations. As these changes come into effect just before the London show, Grand Designs Live offers the ideal moment for homeowners to explore their next steps.
Heat pumps are increasingly seen as a smart long-term investment. They can help reduce running costs, improve EPC ratings and support rising expectations for efficient modern homes. Research by Rightmove shows that installing a heat pump can increase the value of a property, with a home moving from an EPC rating of F to C seeing an average value increase of 15%.
Daikin’s portfolio also includes solutions such as Multi+, which provides heating, cooling and hot water from a single compact system to provide comfort in every season. Visitors will also be able to see how heat pumps integrate with wider home upgrades such as solar, and how simple intuitive app-based controls can make the home climate easy to manage.
Tomoji Miki continues, “With the Boiler Upgrade Scheme expanding, it is now easier than ever for homeowners to make a smart investment that delivers comfort, long term savings and real value for their home. At the show, we will be showcasing our latest products so people can get up close to the technology and understand how it works day to day. We will also be highlighting how smart controls are making home comfort simple to manage.
“Our aim is straightforward. We want visitors to see how great design, great comfort and smart investment all work together, and how Daikin can help them create a home that feels as good as it looks.”
Richard Morey, Grand Designs Live Show Director, added, "the show has always been about inspiring visitors with visionary design, innovative technology and sustainable ways of living, and Daikin’s leadership in low carbon heating and cooling aligns perfectly with that mission. Their commitment to pushing boundaries in energy efficient home solutions brings an exciting feel to this year’s event.
"Together, we are giving homeowners, renovators and self builders the insight and confidence they need to create homes that are not only beautiful, but future ready.”
This sponsorship reflects Daikin’s commitment to helping homeowners create spaces that look beautiful and feel comfortable every day. Grand Designs Live celebrates the imagination and hard work that go into shaping a home. Daikin’s role is to provide the systems that support those choices, delivering comfort, performance and control in a way that works quietly behind the scenes. It's a partnership built on a simple idea. People shape the home they imagine, and Daikin provides the comfort that brings it to life.
